Knitting Weather

I am getting SO sick of rain. Normally, I wouldn’t say that. I live an arid region of the country. Enough is enough. I want to be able to mow my yard. I want to plant a garden. We have to take a dr trimmer to our garden so we can rototill it. And I am sick of being cold. In my memory, it has never rained on the last day of school. My daughter had to wear a jacket to school this morning! My animals are going to start thinking we live on the coast if this crap doesn’t stop.

I will try to look on the bright side if the sun shows back up.

I think today I am going to be knitting. Tomorrow might be a sewing day if I can get the swap mittens done. I have gotten the urge to finish the quilt for our bed that I started 2 or 3 years ago. I also have a quilt kit I bought for the girls’ room. It would be nice to make it before they start to dislike flowers and butterflies all over everything. Not to mention it is taking up a lot of space in my fabric stash. And then there is the fleece I bought to make a big patchwork blanket for their bed. Fleece really takes up a lot of space. Hmmm. It seems like I am really good on the thinking up of the great projects and not so good on the making.

I just thought of the bright side! Rainy days are great for knitting and sewing. How silly of me to forget that.

I'm with you on the "thinking up of the great projects and not so good on the making"....especially if they take longer than a day!
Yup, rain means more time to craft! [I'm on the six-sox-kal]
