Happy Labor Day

I hope everyone is having a relaxing labor day. Here is the questoinaire from the Spinning Roving Swap

1) How long have you been spinning?

I don't spin yet, I have wanted to spin since I was a girl.

2) Are you a beginner, novice, or experienced spinner?

Beginner. Pre-Beginner, heh heh.

3) Do you spin on a drop spindle or wheel, or both?

I would like to spin on a drop spindle.

4) What types and weights of drop spindles (or what type of spinning wheel(s) ) do you currently own?

Sadly, none.

5) What type of fibers have you spun with before?

Again, none

6) What fibers do you prefer to spin with?

I think I would prefer animal fibers.

7) What fibers do you dislike?

I don't think I would like cotton.

8) Do you prefer natural colored fibers, or handpainted/dyed fiber?

Both? I drool over both kinds when I am shopping and dreaming.....

9) Would you prefer all one type of roving or smaller amounts of different types to sample?

Probably several kinds of roving to see what I like

10) What are you favorite colors?

I love red. I also love fall colors.

11) What colors do you dislike?

Neon.

12) What would you like to do with your handspun yarn, or what do you plan to do with it? (pattern clarification here)

Socks or maybe a hat to keep my husband cozy.

13) What spinning projects are you currently working on?

none

14) Do you have a wishlist?

no

15) What are your other favorite hobbies?

Knitting mainly, but I also sew, crochet, and embroider.

16) Do you have any allergies (pet, smoke, food, fiber,etc...)?

Smoke

17) What is your preferred shipping method (USPS, UPS, FedEx)?

If I were sending something, probably the postal service. If I am receiving, it doesn't really matter. We live in the country, so if we aren't home, they just leave it and nothing is likely to happen to the package.

Yay!! I'm glad you signed up for the swap! I thought it would be a great way to get a spindle and meet a pal in the process. I love the rooster flask. I have a thing for chickens and eggs! Good luck on the husband socks. My boyfriend is anxiously awaiting a complete pair. Little does he know about my second-sock-syndrome.

p.s. Blogger used to hate me too, and it wouldn't let me upload photos as well. And then I switched to Firefox for my browser (free through Google), and now uploading photos is amazingly fast and simple. I don't know why there is such a difference. Are you using Internet Explorer? That was what I was using when Blogger hated me.
