Pictures, Finally!

I was going to write this post yesterday, but you guys know how it is. Thankfully, it was just the batteries in the camera. Apparently, rechargeable batteries that have been in constant use for over 4 years will not run a camera anymore. What is the world coming to?! New batteries and look what we have:

My new knitting books. I haven’t really looked over Mary Thomas’s Knitting Book but I’ve heard it is very good. Until now, I didn’t have any kind of how to book other than one of those cheap ones that you pick up at a discount store that tells you how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. The Alice Starmore book has nice sweaters and VERY nice pictures. I gave my nicest opinion of Alice Starmore last post.

These are the books I was waxing poetic about when my camera batteries went bad. Lots of great inspiration to be had, as I mentioned on Monday.

In actual knitting news, I have finished the left front of my crinkle sweater. Now I am on to the right front. When it is done, I will have only the sleeves to do. And that means I am practically done with the sweater. Finished objects are always fun!

You've got some good books there. I envy your choices. The Doodle Stitching is fun and I'm going to check out Sewing with a French Twist. My fave right now is Bend the Rules Sewing.

I can agree with you about Alice Starmore. I love her books and the inspiration that comes with lookiing at the awesome color combinations. Would I want to wear most of the sweaters? Not really. The Children's Collection, though, does have some great non-fair isle designs.

I would like to know what you think about the Doodle book.
Cool books! Glad it was just a batteries issue...
